Went to Brandwood Street then Smithills Grammar followed by three years of college & an apprenticeship until I qualified as a Telecommunications technician in 1977.

I spent  several years in electro-mechanical and electronic communications engineering then working in Preston and Wigan in computing.

I spent my last 20 years of employment as an Attendance Management consultant for a major international company before taking the easy decision to spend more time with my family

I have 4 decades experience of computing dealing with data acquisition, conversion, transfer between incompatible systems, manipulation & presentation. I also build & host web sites, which helps me to make the data available to large numbers of people.
